What type of water should you use to prepare Methylene Blue Solution?

Methylene Blue is a pan anti viral, anti fungal and an anti bacterial. No pathogen can survive in Methylene Blue solution. This means that any type of drinking water is fine since it will kill any pathogens that are present.

What is more important is purchasing high quality Methylene Blue since that is where most contamination happens (in terms of presence of heavy metals). Only a handful of companies manufacture USP pharma grade MB (Pharmazell, CZTL,Provay Blue are some of the largest manufacturers).

Its actually more important to keep Methylene Blue away from sunlight since it may decompose. Amber bottles are not a fool proof way to protect from sunlight - best is to keep it in a cupboard/drawer away from sunlight.
